High Tensile Field Fence
High Tensile Field Fence is a very special fencing material. We have a lot of metal fencing products there like welded mesh fencing, euro fence, chain link fences, etc. However high tensile field fence is one of the most popular ones among them. There’s a lot demands in the world market for high tensile field fence. Actually field fencing is a simple fencing product. Now let me take you to an simple introduction of it.
High tensile field fence is formed by three ports. The selvage wire, the line wire and the cross wire. The selvage wire as you can tell from its name is the top & bottom wire which is usually much thicker than the other two wires. The reason for it is because the top & bottom wire hold more strength of the erected fence. A thicker selvage wire can make the fence more strong. This is a good design. Then it’s the line wire and cross wire. The line wire as well as the selvage wire can be made by using high tensile steel wire materials. The tensile strength of the line wire and selvage wire can be as high as 1450 Mpa. However the cross wire is totally another different story. The tensile strength of the cross wire can only be make by using low tensile wire also called iron wire. Let me tell you why.
Before we talk about why the cross wire must be used low tensile steel wire, we have to talk about the knot first. The knot of the fencing is hinge joint knot. It has many spirals so if the wire is too elastic which is high tensile wire, it’ll be impossible fix the knot thus the reason why the cross wire can’t be using high tensile wire.
