The barbs are actually themselves steel wire which are winded around the core wire. The core wire on the other hand can be made by one singe strand or two strand winding together. The latter one obviously has more strength.
Galvanized barbed wire has a very long service life. That attributes to its surface treatment which is pre hot dip galvanized. The steel wires before fabricated will be first galvanizing treated. After this important procedure, the steel wire can have anti-corrosion ability and is able to serve a longer time.
Galvanized barbed wire are usually winded into one big coils. During transportation they are usually loaded on pallets in order to improve the loading and unloading efficiency and reduce the labor work.
